Debbie Reed, PT
President and Owner
A native of Jasper, Indiana, Debbie Reed, PT is President and Owner of Advanced Rehabilitation Inc. and its work injury prevention and management division, ARI Integrated Work Injury Solutions.
She is a 1986 graduate of the physical therapy program at the University of Evansville and has served as a member of the Indiana State Physical Therapy Committee, the state regulatory agency for physical therapists since 1998.
Debbie founded ARI in 1988 with the goal of providing quality physical therapy services for patients in areas with limited access to physical therapy providers. ACI currently has five locations in Southern Indiana.
Debbie has been a practicing physical therapist for more than 25 years and has developed expertise in the work injury area, including work injury prevention, education, ergonomics, early intervention, case co-ordination, work injury management process development and on-site physical therapy.
Her clients have included those in the automotive, aluminum, electronics, filtration, foundry, furniture, rubber and trucking industries. Debbie specializes in the delivery of results driven work injury management services to increase her client’s profits and productivity.
Debbie has published and served as an expert contributor on articles relating to work injury management in the journals Impact and Advance for Physical Therapy and Rehab Management. She has also presented at both state and national levels regarding innovative approaches for the prevention and management of work-related injuries.
Debbie is an active member of the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA) and its private practice section.
She resides in Tell City, Indiana with husband Tim and four children, Ian, Hana, Eli, and Elliot and enjoys following her children’s sports and traveling.
Ben Sanford, Ms, PT
Ben Sanford, MS, PT is Director of Industrial Operations, ARI Integrated Work Injury Solutions and serves as Senior Physical Therapist and Management Team member at Advanced Rehabilitation Inc.
He received his Bachelor of Science in Biology and Pre-medical Preparation from Ball State University in 1997 and Masters of Science Degree in Physical Therapy from the University of Indianapolis in 2000.
Ben has more than 12 years of experience in outpatient orthopedic rehabilitation, industrial rehabilitation, functional capacity evaluation, work injury prevention, ergonomics, early intervention, case co-ordination, on-site physical therapy and work injury management services.
He has developed and designed company and occupation specific trainings for high MSD risk jobs. Ben has consulted in a variety of occupational settings including automotive, aluminum, foundry, furniture, transportation, electronics, filtration and furniture.
He currently serves as an active consultant and work injury specialist with four regional companies in addition to developing future work injury prevention solutions and programs.
Ben has published articles pertaining to work injury in the journal Rehab Management and served as an expert contributor to an article in the journal Advance for Physical Therapy and Rehab Management. He has presented locally and regionally on topics including ergonomics and work injury prevention strategies.
Ben is a member of the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA) and has served as nominating chairman for the Indiana Southwest District of APTA.
He resides in Santa Claus, Indiana with his wife Jeri and two children, Mia and Maxwell.
Rebecca Hensley, PT
Clinical Director: Jasper, Santa Claus and Richland
Rebecca is a licensed physical therapist in both Indiana and Kentucky. She graduated from the University of Evansville in 2002 with both Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Physical Therapy.
Rebecca has received specialized training in hand care, orthopedics, and industrial rehabilitation. Her clinical experience has focused on the evaluation and treatment of orthopedic, sports and work related injuries including post-surgical rehabilitation. She is certified in the manual therapy technique, ASTYM providing her even more knowledge to help prevent injury and restore clients to their desired level of function.
Rebecca is certified to perform WorkWell Functional Capacity Evaluations, Functional Job Analysis, Functional Job Descriptions, and Pre-Work Screens. She is also certified to perform DSI Functional Capacity Assessments, Job Function Analysis, and Job Function Matching.
Rebecca began working for ARI in 2004 as a staff physical therapist and became the corporate PT Manager in 2011. She has treated clients in a variety in a variety of settings while working for ARI, including clinic outpatient, industry on-site physical therapy, and school system students.
Rebecca enjoys reading, traveling, and spending time with her family.
Brandi Labhart, PT
Clinical Director: Tell City
Brandi is a licensed physical therapist in both Indiana and Kentucky. She graduated from the University of Evansville in 2004 with a Master’s degrees in Physical Therapy.
Brandi is an AOLS certified lymphedema therapist and an APTA credentialed clinical instructor. She trained in myofasical release with John Barnes. She is ASTYM certified and has continued studies in work injury management.
Brandi has experience in treating a wide variety of clients including orthopedic, post-surgical, wound care, lymphedema management and runners. She started working for ARI in 2013.
Brandi is a native of Perry County and lives in Tell City with her husband and two children. She also teaches classes at Everbody's Gym.
Cynthia Johnson, PT
Cynthia Johnson is a licensed physical therapist in both Indiana and Kentucky. She graduated from Indiana University in 1985 with a Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy. She completed her Manual Therapy Certification from the University of St. Augustine in 1996 and is certified in the ASTYM manual therapy technique.
Cynthia has more than 25 years of experience in the evaluation and treatment of a variety of clients, including orthopedics, industrial injury rehabilitation, lymphedema management, pediatrics and school system students. She has received specialized training in Kinesiotaping, Lymphedema Management, Vestibular Rehabilitation, Wound Care and Industrial Rehabilitation.
Cynthia has been working with ARI since 2010 in the Tell City office and is a key part of our rehabilitation program.
On a personal note, Cynthia enjoys coaching little league soccer and following her children’s sports activities.
Amanda Hopster, PTA, ATC
Amanda graduated from the University of Evansville in 2010 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Athletic Training and Association’s degree for Physical Therapist Assistant.
During her time at the University of Evansville, Amanda worked with the collegiate teams for men’s soccer, baseball, swimming, and cross country as well as the women’s basketball, softball, tennis and cross country teams. In 2008, her junior year, Amanda worked with the North High School football team and had the privilege to work with the NHL team, the Nashville Predators, for post draft pick testing. During her senior year, Amanda was the Senior Athletic Trainer for the women’s softball team and assisted with on field testing, return to play rehabilitation programs and helped administer pre-season physicals.
Amanda joined Advanced Rehabilitation’s team in 2010 and since joining the company she has completed certification in ASTYN manual therapy technique and DSI Work Solutions Job Function Analysis, Job Function Matching. Her clinical experience has focused on the treatment of orthopedic, sports and work related injuries including post-surgical rehabilitation.
When not at work, Amanda enjoys walking her dog, reading, and spending time with family and friends. Amanda also participated in the annual Bike Race at the University of Evansville and so enjoys riding when she can.
Becky Mathies, PTA
Becky graduated with an Associate in Science degree from Vincennes University in 1991 and is a Certified Physical Therapist Assistant in Indiana.
Becky began her career with Advanced Rehabilitation in 1991 and is the Supervisor of Physical Therapy Services for the company’s Jasper location. In 1992 she became a clinical instructor for physical therapy assistant students and is the Coordinator for Clinical Education at ARI. Becky is certified by the American Physical Therapy Association as a Clinical Instructor.
During her 20 years as a Physical Therapy Assistant, Becky’s clinical experience has focused on the treatment of outpatient orthopedic and work related injuries including post-surgical rehabilitation, as well as providing therapy for the geriatric population.
Becky’s greatest love is the work she does for her community by using her physical therapy skills and expertise in the treatment of work related injuries, preparing the worker to return to work and life as quickly as possible. She has received specialized training in Ergonomics in the Workplace, DSI Work Solutions Work Conditioning, Job Coaching, Job Function Analysis and Job Function Descriptions and Atlas Ergonomics Transportation and Office Ergonomics.
Becky enjoys the challenges her work with ACI’s Integrated Work Injury Solutions in ergonomics education, industrial consultation and injury prevention brings her.
Becky is a lifelong resident of Jasper, Indiana and her personal interests include volunteering at her children’s school, coaching their recreational softball team and being a fan at their other sport and dance activities. She enjoys spending time with her family and travel with her husband.
Tina Sturgeon, PTA
Tina graduated Magna Cum Laude from Vincennes University with an Associates' degree for Physical Therapist Assistant. She joined Advanced Rehabilitation, Inc. in 2014. Tina has continued her training by receiving her certification in ASTYM systems.
Tina is a native of Perry County and attend Perry Central High School. She currently lives in Bristow with her husband and daughter.
